What’s Up?

Not much. I bought a new Nano ipod. It’s black and beautiful.

We went to Democratic Headquarters the other night and it was fun to see all the local media personalities and all the democrats having fun, for once. Dems swept our state in several key races. Of course, we officially shun gay marriage, so that’s not so hot.

There are a lot of movies I’d like to see.

We painted the bedroom over the last couple of weekends, and we’re contemplating ripping out the big ugly cheap vanity in the bathroom and replacing it with some stand-alone units we can buy at Lowes. Of course that involves changing the flooring. It’s a sprial. Mr. Tree seems enthusiastic and it was his idea, so I’m running with it. I need to pick out some curtains for the bedroom. Since the room is basically two shades of white (one called adobe white, the other, bright white), the curtains need to have some color for contrast. We’re also replacing the mirrored closet doors with white ones with slats. It will be less a porn set and more a conventional suburban bedroom now. It’s only been eight years.

Sixteen continues her driving education. She gets her license on 12/16. I have mixed feelings about letting her run off into the world, but I guess they are mostly positive.

Books continue to sell in a steady, slow drip.

We just busted out a wall and re-drywalled, re-carpeted and painted the 2 teenager’s rooms. The shelves haven’t been hung yet, and when I went in to measure, I noticed a foul odor which I have since determined is coming from inside the brand new wall! Dead animal? Dead contractor maybe? Either way I’m tempted to leave him in there as I’m certain the smell will fade eventually!

Did you get to see Borat? How was it?

they changed the law here so kids can’t drive until 18. i don’t think that raising the driving age will solve the problem of irresponsible teen driving. it’ll just raise the age of irresponsible teen driving from 16 to 18 and instead of suing the parents after an accident, the kids will be in the financial hot seat.

There are no movies I want to see.

Did you know that most movies are “staged”? They have scripts and the people in the movies are “acting.” They know what’s going to happen. There are times you can actually feel the movie makers manipulating your emotions. I simply won’t sit still for this!

Oh great, Moosey–next you’ll be telling us that reality television isn’t really real.

Emma challenged me: “Oh great, Moosey–next you’ll be telling us that reality television isn’t really real.”

Only the Simpsons and South Park are “real.” All the rest of them are as fake as … What’s the fakiest thing you know?
