I can’t sleep. Does anyone here like opera? If so, what opera would you recommend getting to know first? I have an aria sampler with a song from Carmen, La Boheme, Romeo & Juliet, Rigotetto, among others. It’s nice not knowing what they’re singing about so beautifully.

    Check out the movie “Shine”, for the opera being sung over the last 10 minutes of that film. Special. I rewound it several times just to listen to it again. The visual of the video and its dialogue didn’t seem to matter in comparison … perhaps the director’s intention.
